I’m an atheist, and it’s okay to tell me “Merry Christmas”
I went through quite the journey to reach my longstanding status as an atheist woman, from being raised Christian to exploring the potential of Paganism to plain agnosticism before settling with solid atheism. I’ve read, researched, and immersed myself in the feelings that religious people claim to feel, hoping to find that missing piece of myself and praying it would be found in a text that described the ultimate way of living.
I never found myself in religion, but I have found myself without it, and I am happy with my identity.
